This page contains answers to frequently asked questions, about MIMU and its products including spatial data and maps, HDP Nexus 5W products, Baseline Data and other resources which support humanitarian, development and peace-focused activities across Myanmar. Feedback and comments are very welcome and can be sent to [email protected]

What kind of data can we get from MIMU?

MIMU compiles a Baseline Dataset tracking available data from published sources on more than 270 Indicators across 12 sectors to support planning and monitoring processes. This includes data at the lowest administrative level at which it is available (i.e., currently Union, State/Region or Township level) from national datasets. Data from some sources has been entered for 10+ consecutive years allowing us to use the MIMU Baseline data to track trends over time at township level. This data from previous years must be requested from MIMU as the file is too heavy to be easily downloaded from our website. Please request through the MIMU Resource Centre: [email protected]

What data is included in the MIMU Baseline Data and how can I find it?

MIMU provides a List of Indicators which are included in the MIMU Baseline Data. This provides details such as the indicator unit of measurement, the sector, the source and the administrative level to which information is available (whether available at Union, State/Region, or Township level).

New indicators relevant to humanitarian, development and peace-focused sectors are added to the list as this information becomes available. Please share your suggestions on available useful data that could be added.

The most recent MIMU Baseline Data files can be found on Baseline Datasets page. Data for previous years is often also available and can be accessed on request through [email protected]
