MIMU has complied the night time images from two satellite systems (DMSP-OLS and VIIRS-DNB) to create a video that shows the changes in Myanmar and its neighbors over the 30 years period from 1992 to 2022. Night-time lighting is a rough proxy for social and economic activities; hence this broadly compares the trends in development over this period.
