What is the MIMU?
The MIMU provides a common information exchange service for the humanitarian community through strengthened coordination, collection, processing, analysis and dissemination of information.
The MIMU supports analysis and decision making by the UN Resident/Humanitarian Coordinator (RC/HC), Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) partners , the UN Country Team and other actors both inside and outside of Myanmar.
The MIMU is governed by a Steering Committee which represents the interests of the HCT membership and it reports to the UN RC/HC.
The MIMU’s Products and Services
- Who, What, Where information (3W database) compilation and management
- Meeting Schedules – to facilitate the coordination of the humanitarian and development response
- Contact Lists – contact lists of individuals, agencies, and key authorities involved in the Myanmar humanitarian and development response
- Integrated Monitoring Matrix (IMM) – monitoring the clusters’ response against the Revised Flash Appeal
- Maps – provision of base maps and customized thematic maps
